I was born a stray in rural Missouri. I had a tough life to start, living on the streets for the first 6 months of my life until a wonderful lady named Jan was able to trap me and some of my siblings. I was a very, very nervous & shy girl when it comes to any new situations.
I came to New Hampshire on the doggy transport in October 2007 to my new foster home. I was very scared and shy and took a couple of days before I even walked around in my new foster home. There were 3 other dogs in the home that tried their hardest to help me understand that it was a very safe & loving home. I finally realized this and really came out of my shell, showing them what an energetic puppy I am! A couple of months went by and they started to show me more new things that scared the day lights out of me (rides in the car, visits to in the inlaws). It was all SCARY and I drool ... alot ... when I get nervious. I have a significant overbite, which probably is why I drool so much when I'm nervous. When Christmas came, I really let my foster family know that I choose THEM to live with and they decided that I was meant to become a permanent member of the family!
So now I live in New Hampshire with my family and Mom jokes that they "failed" in fostering once again, as they had done 4 years ago with my brother Teutul. I have another brother named Zeus and a sister, Lola. I love them all and they have taught me so much.
My Mom and Dad have worked hard to help with my shyness and showing me that things can be fun. I still get nervous with car rides, but I recently made it through my first "vacation" with flying colors. Mom says that I'm the instigator now and cause a lot of ruckus and other people who meet me just don't believe it. I guess I still do the shy act quite well.
I love playing fetch and Planet Dog balls are my favorite! I also love Bobo toys, bones and treats. I don't like bananas though ... Mom put some in my food and I carefully picked out each piece and spat it on the floor. I love to chase bugs and Mommy says I'm her buggy hunter.
Thank you for spotlighting our baby girl!
