Kylie found me at a hockey game. She was there with Canine Commitments. There were about 6 dogs there in all, but she was the only one with spots, my only criteria. Adopted from Missouri, she has proven the most noble of all creatures and has truly blessed our lives. Some say I adopted her, I believe it was the other way around.

Adoption Days at Planet Dog are always a fun and heart warming experience! Maybe you are ready for a new friend or just looking to educate yourself on what the right pup for you might be. Either way I encourage you to join us for an afternoon of sloppy kisses and tail wagging! It is a fabulous feeling to come and show your support for these hard working groups in their daily quest to find the right home for each and every dog.

As I walked into the shelter last August--just weeks after losing my canine companion of 16 years, Lexington, and feline companion of 17 years, Gremlyn--I asked the two of them for help. Since they knew me, my life, and the other animals at the house better than anyone else, I knew they were the ones to help me find the newest member of the family. And they did. They guided me to take a second look at Floyd--a big, goofy, black pit bull. Turns out they were right. My life had a Floyd shaped hole in it. Thanks guys! You're still looking out for me!
